The Assistant Manager Engineering (Peshawar) is responsible for troubleshooting boiler and utility issues, ensuring continuous operations, and minimizing downtime. The role includes maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation for compliance and engineering reviews. By prioritizing safety, operational excellence, and effective time management, the individual ensures smooth maintenance schedules, prompt response to emergencies, and adherence to industrial engineering standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Support the Manager Engineering in daily engineering operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company standards.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain boiler systems as the Second Line Boiler Engineer, ensuring safe and efficient performance.
- Use SAP software to manage maintenance activities, including creating work orders, reporting breakdowns, scheduling preventive maintenance, and coordinating spare part procurement.
- Coordinate and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to maximize boiler reliability and performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulatory requirements, and engineering best practices related to boiler and utilities operations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to prevent operational disruptions and minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed operational records, maintenance logs, and documentation to support regulatory compliance and engineering assessments.
- Manage budgets related to boiler maintenance and operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to source equipment, maintenance services, and parts in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prioritize and manage time effectively to handle multiple maintenance tasks and emergency repairs as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, operational efficiency, and maintenance processes.
- Ensure all maintenance activities align with engineering standards and safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
